Two nights ago I had this conversation with my almost 7 year old son...

"But how does the sperm actually get to the egg? Does it float on waves through the air?"
"No, honey."
"Well, how does it get there?"
"You're going to find it hard to believe, are you ready?"
"Yes."
"Well, the man puts his penis into the woman's vagina and the sperm comes out to meet the egg."

Horrified look...

"Inside? Actually inside?!!"
"Yes."
"But why would he want to do that?"
"Umm, to make a baby. And it actually feels good."
"REALLY? Inside?! I'm never doing that!!"
"Ok, you don't have to if you don't want to."
